New Cartridge-dump for Socrates (Prof. Weiss-Alles)

today i dumped one of my cartridges from my "Prof. Weiss-Alles" console.

as with some other cartridges for this system, this cartridge has also multi-language.

if you use it with the "Socrates" console you get this title-screen:

if you use it with "Prof. Weiss-Alles":

this cartridge fits perfectly into the already available MESS-driver! So it should get added hopefully soon...

today i dumped the system-rom of the german equivalent, which is called "MisterX" and was distributed by YENO.

i also got the cartridge "Fantasie Trivia", which i dumped too. as with most cartridges for VTech/Yeno consoles, this cartridge-rom also contains the data of two different cartridges. a fix soldered jumper on the cartridge-pcb selects the first or second half of the rom. good for us, so we got two cartridges for the price of one! ;-)

the system uses a TMPZ84C00AP, which should it make easier to get the system emulated! so hopefully someone is interested in adding the dumps to MESS.

because of the cheap quality of the pcb's from the newer games (2002 and newer) i never got consistant reads from this game, even cowering has a bad dump of it included in his goodpico, so he didn't get a good read of it too...i got a second cartridge of the game to verify the dump! And now here it is! the last POKEMON rom for the sega pico is dumped!

as the other already dumped Copera game it only shows an Error-Screen in FUSION, in PICODRIVE it runs the COPERA-Intro and hangs after that....maybe some emu-devs could look at that!

VTech IQ Unlimited (German)

Today i dumped the german version of the "IQ Unlimited" Laptop from VTech! This laptop has 3 games, a Office-Suit (Write, Calc, Presentation). The intersting part is, that this machine uses an Motorola Dragonball EZ CPU, which was mostly used in PALM handhelds!
